Hi again, future European homeowner!
Confession time.
For over two years, this newsletter has been made the same way: two people, a lot of coffee, and far too many late nights on property portals in four languages, hunting for the handful of homes worth sending you.
And every week, some version of the same reply lands in our inbox:
“Lovely! But do you have something like this in Puglia, under €150k, with a garden for the dog?”
We love these emails. We read every one. But there are two of us and nearly 30,000 of you, and we’d quite like to sleep at some point before 2027.
So we hired a night shift.
Meet the new hire: AffordiHome Finder

Shift: Nights. Every night.
Job: Reading the new listings on the main property portals in Italy, Spain and Portugal, and checking each one against your wish list.
Strengths: Never gets tired. Never gets distracted by a gorgeous kitchen in the wrong region.
Weakness: Flatly refuses to send you a house that doesn’t match, even to be polite. If nothing new fits, it tells you.
Coffee consumption: Zero. We’re a little jealous.
Here’s how it works:
Describe the home you want, in your own words. The way you’d tell a friend: “A stone house in Sicily under €200k, near the sea, with outdoor space and no stairs.” If anything’s unclear, it asks.
Overnight, it checks the new listings against your search.
In the morning, you get the homes that meet all of it. Each comes with a short note on why it fits and what to check, plus a link to the original listing so you can contact the agent directly.
No agency pays to appear. We don’t sell homes. It just works for you.
Basic, $9/month: one active search, a daily email, all three countries.
Pro, $19/month: three searches, plus market insights (area price per m², 12-month trends, and how a home’s price compares with similar homes nearby).
Yearly plans give you 12 months for the price of 10. Cancel anytime.

Don’t worry, the night shift doesn’t replace us. We’re still here every Wednesday and Friday, hand-picking homes the old-fashioned way. Speaking of which... Here’s what the day shift found this week.
